Especially for those with a pre-existing medical condition. As an app user the 3 basic questions one asks is: why do I need this app; when can it be used; and how can it help me? Let me answer these questions for you. You never know when you may find yourself in an emergency situation. At the time of emergency your only help is someone you know or the ones near you. This app is designed to help you out in an emergency situation. Unlike other apps that can ONLY dial some pre set contact, this app covers all the scenarios. Scenario 1: You face some emergency, but you are concious and able to call someone you know and speak with them, then our pre set contact call feature comes in so handy. Scenario 2: You are not able to speak, so the call function is not the best way to help you. You can display the pre set text, explaining your medical condition and need for help, and activate the sound alert so the persons near you can read your message and help you out. Scenario 3: What if no one is around? Then our SMS with GPS location functionality is critical. When you click the SMS button the field is filled with the pre set text of your choice, plus your GPS location via Google Maps link. This critical info is sent to your predetermined contact. User Guide: The first step is to set the app for an emergency situation. *Click the settings button and add the contact you'de like to contact and then activate the sound if you would like. *Change the text to your custom text and click done. *Once you're out of the settings screen you will have activated the app into preview mode. *Make sure call works, then click SMS. Peds ED iED Apps Genre: Medical Price: Free Release Date: August 19, 2009 From age or weight to situation specific drugs & doses in 2 touches. We all know that one of the hardest things about dealing with very sick children is the wide variety of sizes they come in! Currently we use ‘guesstimate’ formula for weight, based on age in years, and then derive the correct doses of various drugs either from memory or formularies, whilst simultaneously dealing with the acutely sick child. These guesstimates are known to be inaccurate, but referencing against the gold standard charts is hugely time consuming in the acute situation. Peds ED converts the age of the child in weeks, months, or years (including premature babies) into weight by referencing to WHO weight charts, increasing accuracy by up to 25%. Peds ED then offers the user a list of emergency clinical situations to chose from.
